The Challenge:
Every day for 30 consecutive days, make someone you love laugh or smile through daily acts of kindness.
The Goal:
To be kind to a loved one as often as possible.
The 30 Day “I Love You” KIE Kindness Challenge
This is a special 30 Day Kindness Challenge for the people closest to us.
The other KIE Kindness Challenges focus on creative ways we can spread kindness far and wide. As a reminder, these are their goals:

The 30 Day I Love You KIE Kindness Challenge, however, hits much closer to home because it encourages us to be kind to the people we love as often as possible.
It challenges us to focus on the following question:
How kind can you be to someone you love?
So often in life, the people we love the most are the ones we take the most for granted.
We expect them to always be there for us — to always love us — and we might not always pay enough attention to whether the love we feel for them on the inside is matched by the way we treat them on the outside:
- We may not consistently show them through our actions that they’re the most important and precious people in our lives.
Sometimes, we’re busy. Or tired. Or angry. Sometimes, we’re stuck in a routine we can’t seem to revise.
No matter the reason, the good news is we don’t always have to do what we’ve previously done. Our future doesn’t have to look like our past.
If we want to cultivate better relationships with the people we love the most, we can!
If we want to show our love and appreciation to the people who’ve been there for us in good times and bad through acts of kindness, we will!
Kindness Can Help Us Strengthen Our Relationships
After all, kindness is love in action.
Acts of kindness are acts of love we freely give to the people around us so their days may be a bit better and their lives a bit brighter. They’re magical moments of connection in which the love that lies in the heart of one person can reach out to touch the heart of another.
If any people in the world deserve our kindness, it’s the people we love the most.
The 30 Day I Love You KIE Kindness Challenge is an invitation to celebrate the people in our lives who have been there through thick and thin — who have rejoiced in our successes and helped pick us up when we’ve fallen down.
It’s an opportunity to honor the relationships we have with the people in our lives who love us — not because we have no flaws, but despite them.
In this 30 Day KIE Kindness Challenge, pick one person you love, and do kind acts that make that person laugh or smile — every day for 30 days.
Spend a memorable month sharing laughter, strengthening bonds, and deepening the relationship you have with someone in your life you can’t live without. Truly say “I love you” — not only with your words, but also with your deeds.
How you choose to be kind is completely up to you. For this 30 days of kindness Challenge, you have no limitations.
You can choose to do one act of kindness a day for 30 days (for a total of 30 acts of kindness) or several random acts of kindness a day, every day for 30 days, to fill the life of someone you love with as much joy and laughter as possible.
There’s no wrong way to be kind. What matters most is not how you spread kindness, but that you do.
Once you’ve completed your month of kindness, feel free to take this 30 Day Kindness Is Everything Challenge again — as many times as you want — with a focus on a different loved one (whether it be a family member, a friend, a romantic partner, etc.) until you’ve bettered your relationships with every single person in your life that you love.

Remember, the kind acts you choose to do in this 30 Day Kindness Challenge, like in all Kindness Is Everything Kindness Challenges, don’t have to be huge gestures of affection that require lots of planning or money:
- Simple acts of kindness, like a loving hug or a sincerely-said “I love you”, can warm hearts and do wonders for a relationship because, sometimes, the best things in life really are free.
Kindness Begins At Home
Make every month “Kindness Month” by performing acts of kindness for the people closest to you. A 30 day random acts of kindness Challenge may not seem like much, but it’s much harder to drift apart when we work so hard to purposefully connect.
